Anthurium 'Bugatti Red' (Anthurium andreanum) is a popular, low-maintenance tropical indoor plant featuring vibrant, glossy red, heart-shaped flowers (spathes) that bloom year-round.
Exotic flowers of the Anthurium have a distinctive air of luxury with large waxy flowers against a backdrop of glossy heart-shaped leaves. The flowering extends over a number of months with each bloom lasting for many weeks.
Anthurium's are relatively easy to grow and maintain. Place with filtered light and keep out of direct sunlight. Anthuriums are a tropical plant but will tolerate temperatures down to 15 degrees Celsius. Water regularly and avoid drying out. Anthuriums prefer reasonable humidity. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the summer months and ensure a good quality peat based mix is used when re-potting. Tolerant to most diseases but can be affected by aphids, scale and mites.
