Artemisia Powis Castle is a useful and handsome plant. It forms a natural upright mound of aromatic foliage, topped with small, pale yellow flowers in late summer. It’s perfect for growing in a hot sunny border or as part of a summer container display, and works well with pink and purple flowers, and ornamental grasses. The foliage can be used in dried flower arrangements.
Grow Artemisia ‘Powis Castle’ in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. After flowering, cut back hard in autumn. Pair with plants such as Stachys byzantina, which enjoy similar growing conditions.
