A cute deciduous shrub with attractive blooms from summer to first frosts. Pavillion Caryopteris are dwarf shrubs which featuring luxuriant foliage throughout spring which erupts into a mass of flowers through late summer and early autumn.
A quick growing deciduous shrub which provides great contrast in the garden. Ideal for a mixed border where its late summer/autumn flowering can be shown when other plants have finished their season.
Grow in full sun. Happy in well-drained to dry, poor, or sandy soils. In northern climates, Caryopteris will die back each year and resprout from the base of the plant in spring; a winter mulch is beneficial, but avoid the stems. Prune the dead branches back in the spring.
Caryopteris icana 'Pavilion Blue' works wonderfully as a border plant, in beds, or in containers because of its gorgeous flowers and compact habit.
