DESCRIPTION: Attractive evergreen tree. Flowers in time for Christmas and fruits from April onwards. Medium oval sized fruit with smooth green skin, tasty tangy flavour with juicy pulp.
USE: Fresh, puree, jam, juice, stew, preserves. Try the edible flower petal in a salad or on top of your Choc Log.

PLANTING: Feijoas will grow on most soils providing good drainage is present. Plants are frost and drought tolerant, but require moisture during the fruiting season.
CARE: Feed with high nitrogen NPK fertiliser in late winter. Train tree to a single trunk to half a metre then form a vase shape by selecting 4-6 main laterals. Maintain desired shape and size by regular pruning after fruiting. Fruit is formed on current season wood. Provide plenty of moisture during fruit swelling stage.
