A popular Japanese-type red blood plum (Prunus salicina) originating from New Zealand.
One of the earliest ripening red-fleshed plums in New Zealand, with heavy crops ready to harvest around Christmas (late December to early January).
It features dark red skin, sweet dark red flesh, and is a versatile variety for fresh eating, cooking, and jam.
Typically grows to a height of 3.5 to 4.5 metres and a spread of about 3 to 4 metres at full maturity.
